Back pain is a type of discomfort in the back region that is caused by inflammation, disc degeneration, injury, muscle strain, or stiffness. This pain can be found in one or both of the back. There are many causes for this pain.
The first cause is improper posture. While standing, walking, or sitting, the back should be straight and your arms should be relaxed. Do not bend at the waist. The muscles in the back are very important for proper posture.
The second cause is improper use of the back. When you sit, your back should move forward and your lower back should not move forward. The shoulders should not be pushed forward while at the same time keep the legs relaxed. Keeping the legs relaxed can help the lower back to not use so much energy.
The third cause is weakness in the muscles of the back. A weak back is what causes the pain. You can tell if your back is weak by observing the way the muscles in the back move. The muscles of the back need to be strong. If they are weak, then the pain will be felt.
The fourth cause is degeneration of the spinal discs. This may be due to the trauma of an accident or an injury that occurs from a fall. Degenerative discs are tough and are designed to withstand years of wear and tear. If they are damaged, the pain will be felt. However, many people ignore the fact that they do not have enough daily exercise.
The fifth cause is an imbalance of the body’s natural causes. The body is actually designed to function like a clock. There are times when the body needs more than just rest; the body needs the ability to heal itself. The sixth cause is chronic pains. These pains will go away on their own after some time. Chronic pains that come and go will get worse when the body does not heal properly. Chronic pains are felt with time but not always get better after time. They will get worse over time if the body is not healed properly.
The seventh cause is inflammation of the spinal discs. This inflammation can occur after an injury to the back. If there is a lack of rest, there will be a lack of movement. The bones will be weak and it will be harder to perform everyday activities.
The eighth cause is the vertebrae of the spine naturally healing and recovering from injury. If the back is overworked, then the spinal discs will degenerate. This will cause pain.
The ninth cause is an underlying problem that is causing the pain. One example is an infection in the spine. An infection will make the spinal discs become inflamed and will start to hurt. In this case, the pain is usually seen in the back area and not on the side.
The tenth cause is stress. Stress can be caused by an accident, a traumatic event, an illness, or a disease. The stress may cause pain or pressure in the spine which is causing the back pain.
